As a not-for-profit social enterprise we sell used pianos with permission from our piano donors, though neither a shop nor a dealer, we are something in between. In actuality, we offer more of a 'Piano Transplant Service', connecting people with pianos and offering long term no-interest payment plans, increasing access to and appreciation of acoustic pianos for people in Glasgow and beyond.
Thanks to National Lottery players, we have received £10,000 from National Lottery Awards for All, in celebration of
the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games and we will be running a summer of piano shenanigans starting with . . .
a return to The Burrell Collection for another Lids Open Day on Sunday June 28th from 11.30am till 4.30pm.
The piano will be in the central auditorium with performances from 1pm to 2pm from Glasgow Voices Choir and Kate Barrie.
Please register by email . . . here . . . with a rough time of when you intend to come along as this always helps us coordinate things.
The invitation is always there to . . . Just Turn up and Play!

We've been busy over the years with a large scale piano recycling project in collaboration with The Pianodrome Collective & Springburn Auditorium CiC.
Below, you can watch a short 2 min time lapse, made for Lids Open Day 2022, read Jane Barrie's article in the Sunday Post or . . . watch a longer 18 min film of the whole build process, including an interview with Tim Vincent-Smith. You can also read The Guardian article, July 2020, on Springburn Auditorium.
